I’m an award winning photographer based in Huddersfield. I provide wedding and portrait photography in all parts of West Yorkshire, and can also cover other parts of the UK if asked.

I got the photography bug in the 1980s - any excuse to snap family and friends. This became the grounding for me as I gained a lot of experience in different areas of photography. At Uni I did Saturday work for a professional photographer on Lord Street in Liverpool, assisting in shooting everything from model portfolios to advertising, to commercial images.

As family members and friends arranged weddings and parties I got more and more requests to photograph these events … and I haven’t stopped. The passion is strong and growing as you never get to the point where you’ve taken your best ever photo!

This ‘apprenticeship’ has helped me develop my own style of photography - my wedding photography style as contemporary, modern and my portrait style as fun, fashion, yet I keep track of the work by today’s top professional photographers to make sure that my style is current and relevant to clients’ needs.

So, who influences me? Mark Cleghorn, Damien Lovegrove and Gordon McGowan – their teachings are widely available at venues in the UK, in magazines and on the internet, and they consistently deliver great images.

You can have full confidence in me - I am fully insured to carry out photography services, and have both Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance. Also, I am a Member of both the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).
